PauPau Temari Sushi (Flowered Sushi)

Sushi is a Japanese food which is consisting of cooked vinegar rice mixed with other ingredients. I like Japanese cuisine lots, especially sushi and salmon sashimi. Today I am going to make Temari Sushi, or called as flowered sushi.

First we need to prepare for the sushi rice.

Ingredients: (for sushi rice)
2 cups uncooked rice
2  1/2 cups of water
1/2 cup of sushi seasoning

Directions: (for sushi rice)
Wash and rinse rice well. Soak the rice for 1 hour.
Then, cook rice in rice cooker.

Transfer the hot rice from the rice cooker into a large bowl.
Sprinkle the 1/2 cup of Mizkan sushi seasoning evenly over the rice. Then, let it cool.

P/S: Ensure you dip your hand into a bowl of water first, wet your both hands with water before you grab the sushi rice. This can prevent the sushi rice stick on your hand.

Ingredients: (for Temari Sushi)
Sushi rice
Fresh salmon sliced
Fish roe
Cellophane wrap

Directions: (for Temari Sushi)
Make a small ball of sushi rice.
Add sliced salmon on the top of the small ball of sushi rice.
Wrap up the sushi with cellophane wrap.
Twist it into ball shape.
Unwrap it then place the flowered sushi on plate.
Add some fish roe on the top of the sushi.
Temari Sushi is completed.
