PauPau @ Jemputree, Chow Thye Road

Jemputree is located at the end of Chow Thye Road and they are serving for Malay and local cuisine. This place provides Balinese inspired outdoor dining environment.

Today I am using the online coupon for Burger Set (Big Bite Burger with Fries, Fruit Mocktail and Dessert) for only RM 8.90 Nett instead of RM 15.90.

Beef Burger
The Beef Burger is consists of beef patty and egg and it is served with French Fries and salad. The beef patty is quite thick and it is hardly for me to finish it. Overall, the Beef Burger are delicious as the patty is grilled to perfection.

Chicken Burger
The Chicken Burger is consists of chicken patty and egg and it is served with French Fries and salad. The chicken burger are less flavorful and tenderness compare to beef patty.

Dessert of the Day (Cekodok)
The Cekodok is slightly oily and over-fry as it is quite dark.

PauPau Sour & Spicy Stew Fish (Asam Pedas Fish)

Asam Pedas Fish (Sour & Spicy Stew Fish) is a Malay sour and spicy stew dish, which is quite popular in Malaysia. The main ingredients usually is using seafood or fish, cooked with tamarind juice with chilies and spices. You can also add on various vegetables such as tomatoes, okra (lady finger) and brinjals (eggplants). Today I am going to shared with you "PauPau Sour & Spicy Stew Fish (Asam Pedas Fish)", hope you will enjoy this recipe!

2 Torch ginger flower (Bunga Kantan)
Tamarind pulp
Vietnamese Coriander (Daun Kesum)
2~5 bird eye chili (Cili Padi)
1 galangal
2 cubes shrimp paste (belacan)
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 ~ 2 pieces pineapple

Ingredients: (Blended)
200gm shallot (peeled)
200gm chili (seedless)
1 stalk lemongrass

Add all the ingredients (blended) into blender cup.
Blended until it become smooth mixture.

Pour the blended mixture into wok and bring it to boil for about 5minutes.

Add Vietnamese Coriander (Daun Kesum) into the wok.
Add Torch ginger flower (Bunga Kantan).
Add bird eye chili (Cili Padi), galangal and shrimp paste (belacan).
Stir it well.

Mixed tamarind pulp with water and strained the tamarind juice into the wok.
Add pineapple cube.
Add turmeric powder and continue simmer for at least 20 minutes.
Add fish and bring to boil for about 7 minutes or until the fish is cooked.

Garnish with mint leave and served with rice or rice noodle.

PauPau @ Ang Hoay Lor Restaurant, Gurdawa Road

Ang Hoay Lor Restaurant is located at Gurdawa Road, Georgetown. They are serving for authentic Hokkien cuisine and this restaurant is quite popular with their "Oyster Noodles" and "Char Tang Hoon" (fry glass-noodles). Their "Char Tang Hoon" (fry glass-noodles) are always my favorite dish there since I'm a little kid until now.

You will be served with bird's eye chili (cili padi) and the green chili which taste like pickle.

Char Tang Hoon (RM 6)
The Char Tang Hoon is served with sliced pork, fish, prawn, oyster and vegetables. The glass-noodle are very flavorful and delicious.

Fried Bee Hoon (RM 6)
The Fried Bee Hoon  is served with sliced pork, fish, prawn, oyster and vegetables. The fried bee hoon is come with gravy and it is even more flavorful if you soak the bee hoon in the gravy.

PauPau @ Taipei 101, Persiaran Bayan Indah (re-visited)

Taipei 101 is located at Persiaran Bayan Indah, Bayan Lepas, just opposite of Queensbay Mall. Taipei 101 are serving for various Taiwanese cuisine and also Taiwan night market famous snacks.

This time I am going to try out their "Mee Suah", which is another Taiwanese signature dish. The Mee Suah is from RM7.80 nett and above. 

 Mussels Mee Suah (RM7.80 Nett)
The mussels mee suah took about 30minutes to served, so this is definitely not a best choice if you are hungry. The Mussels Mee Suah is served with 2 half-shelf mussels, crabmeat and omelette sliced in clear soup. The mee suah are quite nice and not too soft. The soup are quite nice and flavorful too.

PauPau @ Sa Rang Chae, Gottlieb Road

Sa Rang Chae has been operated for more than ten years and it is located at Gottlieb Road, just opposite of Penang Chinese Girls High School. Sa Rang Chae is serving for authentic Korean cuisine and the environment are very spacious.

Spicy Pork Stew with Rice

The Spicy Pork Stew is cooked with glass noodles, pork ribs, Korean rice cake (Dduk), red date and chilly. This dish is very flavorful and the pork stew are so tender. This spicy pork stew is spicy enough and definitely great to eat with the Japanese steam rice.
