PauPau Grilled Salmon with Yogurt



Ingredients:
Salmon block
Dried parsley
1 teaspoon olive oil
Natural yogurt (plain yogurt)
Yellow capsicum
Japanese cucumber

Directions:
Wash the fish and pat dry.
Heat olive oil over the medium heat.
Grill the salmon and add dried parsley. Grill it with low heat until golden brown or about 5 ~ 6 minutes. (grilling time is depends on the salmon thickness.)
Flip over and grill for about 3 ~ 4 minutes for a juicy salmon.
Diced the yellow and green capsicum, mix well with the plain yogurt.
Add the yogurt mixture on top of the grilled salmon.

PauPau @ Humble Beginnings, Straits Quay

Humble Beginnings, is a cafe that famous of their mille crepe cake, is just located at Straits Quay. Here is my most favorite place for craving for crepe cake for far.


Overall the environment are quite cozy and cheerful with the colorful flower painting.




Swiss Chocolate Velvet (RM 9.90 Nett)
There are about 20 layers of crepes with combinations of fresh cream and vanilla custard in between each layer. The top layer is caramelized and cover with cocoa powder. This mille crepe is really delightful and each layer of crepe is so thin until easily melted in mouth.

PauPau Steamed Egg

A good steamed egg does not rely on another other pricey ingredients or seafood, but the vital key in steaming a smooth texture steamed egg is depend on the egg mixture, heat and timing. But, this recipe would be slightly different from the traditional recipe. As I have reduce the use of egg yolk, in order to prepare a more healthy steamed egg.


Ingredients:
3 eggs white with 1 egg yolk
50ml milk
Optional: light soy sauce

Directions:
Pour the milk and set aside at room temperature.
Beaten the egg until bubbling.
Add milk and continue beaten until mix well.
Sift the egg mixture to remove the bubble.
Put the egg mixture in any steam-ware and cover with lid.
Place in the steamer with boiling water for about 10 minutes or until the egg mixture is no longer shaky.
You may add light soy sauce (to taste) on top of it.

PauPau @ Sandwhich Cafe, I-Avenue

Sandwhich Cafe is located at I-Avenue, and it is a cafe with healthy concept that served for antibiotic free enzyme chicken, pork, egg and non canned tuna sandwich. Actually I have noticed this cafe past few months ago when dined in at Eastern Wishes, and finally I am here to try out these enzyme theme chicken and pork.


Wholesome Tuna Salad (RM 8.90 Nett)
Actually the name should be Tuna Salad Croissant, but due to the croissant is out of stock, so we choose wholesome bread to replace it. The Wholesome Tuna Salad is served with tuna flakes, red cabbage, capsicum, cucumber, lettuce and mayonnaise. Feedback from the eater that this wholesome tuna salad are not bad.


Wholesome Chicken (RM 8.90 Nett)
The Wholesome Chicken is served with grilled chicken slices, red cabbage, capsicum, cucumber, lettuce and BBQ sauce. The grilled chicken is quite tender and taste good too.

Wholesome Porker (RM 8.90 Nett)
 The Wholesome Porker is served with grilled pork slices, red cabbage, capsicum, cucumber, lettuce and mustard sauce.


The grilled pork slices is quite fragrant and well marinated, but the meat is not tender enough.

Prime Porker Ciabatta (RM 9.90 Nett)
The Prime Porker Ciabatta is served with grilled pork slices,h red cabbage, capsicum, cucumber, lettuce and BBQ sauce. The only different of Prime Porker Ciabatta and Wholesome Porker is the bread types. This ciabatta bread is a white loaf with seeds and hint of herbs, it is quite nice too.

PauPau @ Winter Warmers, Precinct 10

Here I am again at Winter Warmer (Precinct 10), previous visit I had try out the 3 tier tea time set, but this time I am going to try their main course for lunch. 



Hazelnut Cappucino (RM 10.90 + 16% Charges)


Mango Chicken Rice (RM 15.90 + 16% Charges)
The Mango Chicken Rice is a grilled chicken with mango sauce, served with halved mango and rice. The chicken is quite soft and the mango sauce is too sweet for my taste liking.

Light Mustard Salmon ( RM 24.90 + 16% Charges)
The Light Mustard Salmon is a grilled salmon with mustard sauce, served with mashed potato and vegetables. It would be nicer if the salmon is grilled until golden brown. But the mashed potato is quite tasty, there is a mixed of mashed potato and potato chunks with mayo and hint of parsley taste.

PauPau Steamed Prawn with Ginger & Chinese Wine



Ingredients:
10 ~ 12 fresh prawns (trimmed but with shell on)
1 ginger (peeled and shredded)
1 garlic (peeled; you may chopped it finely.)
2 ~ 3 tablespoons sesame oil
2 ~ 3 tablespoons Hua Tiao Chinese Wine
1 tablespoon light soy sauce

Directions:
Using a scissor (or knife), score the back of the prawn and remove those unwanted parts.
Add Hua Tiao Chinese Wine, soy sauce and 1 tablespoon sesame oil in a small bowl and mix well. Pour the mixture with the prawn and marinate for about 10 minutes.
Add 2 tablespoons sesame oil into the pan and stir fry the ginger and garlic until golden brown or fragrant.
Reserved the stir fry ginger and garlic for later use.
Steam the marinated prawn in a steamer over the high heat for 5 ~ 6 minutes or until cooked. Add in the stir fry ginger and garlic on top of the prawn when halfway steaming the prawn.
Ensure that the prawn is not overcooked, else the prawn will be become hard.

PauPau Mango Ice Cream



Ingredients:
4 ~ 5 ripe mangoes (peeled and cut into smaller pieces)
300ml natural yogurt (plain yogurt)
100ml greek yogurt
Mango cubes

Directions:
Add mangoes, natural yogurt and greek yogurt into blender. 
Select "Smoothies" mode, and blend the mixture until smooth.
Pour the mango yogurt blend into any containers, add mango cubes and close the containers with the cover.
Freeze it in the freezer for at least a day.

Since still have some ripe mangoes leftover, so I plan to blend the mango milkshake too. 

Do not wash off the blender first, just add mango flesh and 250ml fresh milk into the blender. Blend until it is become smoothies. Pour into a jug and chill it. 

This mango milkshakes has strong mango taste and it is all natural sweet. It is so chilling!

PauPau Ginger Chicken with Chinese Wine



Ingredients: (to marinated)
4 chicken drumsticks (wash and cut into 2pcs)
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 teaspoon black pepper powder

Ingredients:
2 ~ 3 tablespoons sesame oil
1 ginger (peeled and shredded)
4 ~ 5 tablespoons Hua Tiao Chinese Wine

Directions:
Wash and drain the excess water in the chicken. Marinate the chicken with the ingredients above for at least 10 minutes.
Heat up the sesame oil and stir fry the ginger for about 3 minutes or until fragrant at low heat.
Add the marinated chicken and some sesame oil. Stir fry for about 5 minutes at medium heat. 
Add Hua Tiao Chinese Wine in the pan and cook the chicken for about 12 minutes at low heat. Add some water whenever the pan is dry out.


This Ginger Chicken with Chinese Wine is definitely perfect to be served with steamed rice.
