PauPau @ Tai Tong Restaurant, Cintra Street

De Tai Tong Restaurant, one of the popular restaurants in Penang which is located at down-town, Cintra Street. Here is also my favourite dim sum place, actually they not only have variety of dim sum, but they also served noodles, rice and ala carte dishes. And my most favourite noodles are Sang Mee (the crispy noodle served with gravy). However, I did not mix the crispy noodles with the gravy, but just enjoy eating the crispy noodles alone.

Salted Fish Bun (RM 3.30 nett)
The Salted Fish Bun has a golden brown toast skin with the salted fish meat filling. The bun has the slight crisp and not so oily, while the meat filling has the fragrant of  semi-strong salted fish taste.

Steamed Glutinous Rice with Chicken / Lou Mai Kai (RM 3.30 nett)
The Steamed Glutinous Rice with Chicken / Lou Mai Kai is steamed seasoning sticky rice filled with Chinese mushroom, Chinese sausage, chicken and meat slices. I just like it as it has the sticky texture with the right filling.

Malay Steamed Cake / Ma Lai Gao (RM 2.20 nett)
The Malay Steamed Cake / Ma Lai Gao is steamed brown sugar steamed cake with sunflower seeds. The Ma Lai Gao is quite soft and fluffy, and the sweetness is just nice.

Have you also tried Tho Yuen's dim sum a few shops away? :-)

  2. Yeah! Tho Yuen, another familiar old restaurant for me, yet it has been quite some time from our last visit.
Is their food still as great as last time?
