PauPau @ The Cinnamon Restaurant &Tanglung Bar, Hutton Lane (Georgetown)

The Cinnamon Restaurant & Tanglung Bar is a semi fine dining restaurant which is located at Hotel Penaga (a fully refurbished colonial cum heritage building), corner of Hutton Lane. Well, The Cinnamon Restaurant is the only eatery at Hotel Penaga. However, there are no hotel car park, and thus you may park your vehicle along the roadside car park lots.

The restaurant is quite spacious and overall the environment is unique with charming ambiance. 

There is a long swimming pool just beside of the restaurant building. Well, it is quite a nice view from inside the restaurant, where you can enjoy your meal with the sky blue pool (extra bonus if there are sexy girl or macho man swimming in the pool... Lol.).

Well, I am using the Groupon deal for today 3 course set lunch at RM 38 for two persons. The 3 course set lunch is included a appetiser, main course and dessert (which is free flow of ice cream). Meanwhile, you can add on a free flow of iced lemon tea at RM 4.50 per person.

For the appetiser, you can actually choose from Crispy Calamari, Forest Mushroom Soup or Baby Romaine Caesar's Salad. 

Crispy Calamari 
The Crispy Calamari is served with tartar sauce and baby romaine lettuce. I did not try it as it is quite rare for me to eat deep fried food, well, only once in the blue moon. Feedback from the diner, that it is crispy and not so oily as a deep fried food.

Baby Romaine Caesar's Salad
The Baby Romaine Caesar's Salad is served with crispy bacon, cherry tomato and sprinkle with parmesan cheese and crouton. Well, actually nothing much to describe it, however the greens are fresh and it is just good to eat with parmesan cheese.

Forest Mushroom Soup
The Forest Mushroom Soup is added with truffle oil and served with crouton. I have heard about "Truffle", but I did not try it in any dish before until today (although it's truffle oil, still not so bad huh.). Just in case you do not know, French categorized "Truffle" as the diamond in the kitchen and it is quite costly too. 

The forest mushroom soup is very aromatic and taste good with the minced mushroom. It is very thick, creamy and rich in fungi taste.  

BBQ Chicken Thigh
The BBQ Chicken Thigh is served with mashed potato, sautéed vegetables and brown sauce. The grilled chicken is taste good with mild flavourful (which is quite suit our taste bud) and the meat is tender and juicy. 

Spaghetti Carbonara
The Spaghetti Carbonara is served with crispy beef bacon and parmesan cheese. The spaghetti is cooked al-dente and the carbonara sauce is very creamy and cheesy. I love the carbonara sauce lots, it is just so rich and delicious. It would be better if there is extras carbonara sauce. 

Traditional English Fish and Chip
The Traditional English Fish and Chip is served with lemon wedges, salad and tartar sauce.(FYI:  They are using tilapia fish for the fish and chip.) 

After the meal, there are free flow of ice cream at their counter. They have few choices of ice cream and there are topping and syrup for you to add on to your ice cream too.
